FUNERALS
We are here to help you through one of life's most difficult times.
You don't need to think of yourself as 'religious'. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, giving support before, during and after the service. For as long as you need us, we're here for you.
You can request a funeral for your loved one in our church, or we can conduct a service for you at the cemetery or crematorium.
The funeral director will usually liaise with us in making the practical arrangements for the service itself, and then Rev Lorraine will meet with the family to plan the content of the service and help you chose the hymns, prayers, reading and music that enable you to say 'goodbye' in your own way.
Each funeral is as unique as the person who has died. If the service is at the church, our organist will be pleased to play.
St Andrew's does not have a churchyard of its own, but burials can be arranged in the nearby parish council cemetery through your funeral director.
More information and resources about planning a funeral is available at the Church of England's Funeral Website.
If you have more questions about funerals, or would like to arrange to meet Lorraine to discuss this further, please contact us .
